The SS White Revelation Diamond 379-018SC is a high-performance "football" or "egg" shaped bur designed for heavy-duty tooth reduction. The "SC" stands for Super Coarse, which is the most aggressive grit available. This makes it a powerhouse for the early stages of a procedure where you need to quickly remove bulk tooth structure or old restorative materials.
Because of its rounded, oblong shape, it is perfect for following the natural curves of the biting surfaces on back teeth (occlusal) or the scooped-out inner side of front teeth (lingual).
